My early training was in theatre and release-based contemporary dance.
The dance work was a lot about finding movement from within, learning to become attentive, exploring and expressing through movement in an intuitive and non-judgemental way. I became very interested in the language of movement, how our bodies feel, express, communicate.
The body has its own natural intelligence, which is different from, but not separate to, that of the brain and its functions. This intelligence is inbuilt, a gift to pay attention to and nourish, in order to live in a healthy sense of balance and connection.
”The class last week was incredible in its effect within me to release any and all tensions, catches … a letting go of everything that I didn’t know I held
